NZDUSD Preface:

The New Zealand Dollar is the official currency of New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Tokelau, Niue, and the Pitcairn Islands. NZDUSD is a considerably liquid Forex pair given the small size of the New Zealand economy. The New Zealand economy is a major exporter of raw materials, wood, meat, fish, and dairy and therefore NZD is a commodity currency. The New Zealand dollar offers traditionally high-interest rates and that creates demand for NZD by Carry-Traders. NZDUSD has shown historically a positive correlation with AUDUSD but also with EURUSD. If you compare the Monthly Average Tables of NZDUSD, AUDUSD, and EURUSD you will see significant similarities.
